You may not know it, but there are lots of graphic designers who can earn very well at home. They don’t have to work full time at the company. They can focus all their energies on the home based business.
There are graphic designers who prefer to work for non-profit work. One thing I found when I was researching graphic designers and other professionals who prefer not to work full time at a large company is that a lot of them like the flexibility. There are plenty of smaller companies that will pay less money and still provide a professional service. And, your work will be good enough to justify working for them.
I always encourage graphic designers to think big and think out of the box. It’s easy to imagine yourself running a very successful business. But, you also need to make sure that you can keep your personal finances in order.
A graphic designer doesn’t always have to live in one place to run a successful business. You can locate some graphic designers who live and work from their cars or even from their boats.
Graphic designers who live far away from the office work at home. I don’t suggest that all graphic designers work from the same location. You may need to find a graphic designer who has a business where he or she is.
You can locate graphic designers who work for several companies at once. Many graphic designers work for a small company where he or she is most comfortable. When you work for several different companies, it’s a lot easier to set up monthly business budget spreadsheet.
