Accounting Excel Templates
If you use Microsoft Excel, a quality accounting spreadsheet and other spreadsheet applications, then you’ve probably run across the terms Excel, “accounting templates” and other similar terms. At first glance, they may appear to be just a new variation of the spreadsheet software, but in reality, they’re very much the same. In fact, if you have never heard of them before, here’s a quick run-down on what these new tools do.
The ‘M’ in Microsoft Excel stands for Microsoft (which is the company behind the software). Because of this, there are hundreds of Microsoft Excel templates available. They range from simple to sophisticated tools that can be used to build up complex accounting procedures.
This type of free download, while somewhat unusual, is one that can be quite useful. From the simple printable Excel spreadsheets, through to even sophisticated project management software, these can be downloaded and used without needing to have an account with Microsoft.
What’s more, it’s easy to download. You don’t need to have a Microsoft account and you don’t need to install anything onto your computer. There are no installation programs to worry about, either.
Of course, you could get a Windows and Mac version of the spreadsheet software, which will be the same as the free download. But there are many who don’t want to deal with these, and prefer a simpler interface.
So, where does a free download come into play? Many companies find that they can cut their IT budget in half by simply downloading free Excel templates and developing accounting programs with them.
There are two types of free download, from what I understand. The ‘traditional’ spreadsheet software and the more complicated tools that can be downloaded by users that don’t have Microsoft accounts.
The traditional download comes with a series of licensing requirements, which ensure that you don’t run out of the software in a hurry. Some of these require that you first sign up for an account with Microsoft.
However, many people would rather download a tool that doesn’t require a license and let them run on their own. If you do decide to go this route, you’ll need to consider a few things.
First, you should always verify that the software that you’ve downloaded is legal. Some free download tools are scams, so always verify the source, the licensing agreement and the quality of the tool.
Another important factor to consider when downloading a free download is security. Many of these tools are great for development, but not so good at protecting your information. SEE ALSO : accounting excel sheet free download
